Miss Philippines Maria Venus Raj was called in as one of the top five in the recently concluded Miss Universe, together with Mexico, Australia, Jamaica, and Ukraine.

For the Question and Answer portion she was asked by William Baldwin:  What is one big mistake you made in ur life and what did you do to make it right?

Venus Raj: In my 22 years of existence, there is no major, major problem that I have done in my life because I am very confident with my family and the love they give to me.

Actress-host Mariel Rodriguez has finally said her piece about Robin Padilla’s public admission of his affection for her. The two met on the set of the now defunct noontime show, “Wowowee.” We have seen Robin Padilla’s charm with women in the past and it does seem like it has not faded through the years.

When followed up with a question whether Rodriguez is okay with it and she said, she’s in fact, happy and feels flattered. While some fans might think that Robin might just end up being the rebound guy, after all Mariel has just recently ended her relationship with actor Zanjoe Marudo. But then again, if this Robin-Mariel love affair will ever blossom into the real thing and nothing like how Robin’s past relationship with other women got flushed down toilets all too soon. But there is the “diamond ring” talk that has been going around for weeks now. Mariel Rodriguez was told off by her talent manager, Boy Abunda, to not wear the ring if she’s not ready to talk. So let’s take that as a queue. She wears it and that should be a go signal.

Redford White died today at 6:47 a.m. today, July 25, 2010. He was 54 years old. The famous comedian of the 80’s had battled with brain cancer for a while until he succumbed to its complications this morning.

Tweets of his friends from show business said that Redford White “died peacefully,” for which many fans are comforted. White rose to fame from being regularly seen in the with Tito, Vic & Joey in Iskul Bukol. He played the role of Mang Temi’s (Bing Angeles) helper in the school canteen.

Redford White, whose real name is Cipriano Cermeno in real life is survived by his wife Elena Cermeno. Redfort White’s remains lie at 139 Sto. Niño St., Maligaya Subdivision in front of SM Fairview.

ABS-CBN has acquired the rights from Televisa for the remake of the leading television series Rubi. This will be the first collaboration of the popular Mexican multimedia conglomerate and the said network giant.

You must be kidding me! Krista Ranillo really did get a V.I.P. treatment care of some airport personnel who escorted them to the Presidential lounge. That place are usually used by heads of state and she definitely does not belong there! This was done apparently to help her escape the battalion of media people who were waiting for her to show up and hear her statement about her alleged affair with Manny Pacquaio.

Could Manny Pacquiao arranged this V.I.P. treatment himself so his other woman will be able to save face and just shut up? Could be. But then again, remember what she said in her last statement? They are still discussing when they will be talking about their issues. Maybe they might have concluded to just not make a statement altogether, especially so that it has been said that Jinky will not let go of Manny Pacquaio and Manny is willing to make the necessary steps to redeem his family from this bad publicity of his womanizing escapades.

For whatever it’s worth, we definitely do not believe that Krista Ranillo deserves this V.I.P. treatment that even Lady Gaga wasn’t given.  Who did she think she is?  We cannot think of any other reason for her earning this treatment but of Manny Pacquiao’s influence.  Which could probably have the blessing the Jinky as well, thinking that she might not want this issue to get bigger than it actually is.  

Less than a month after Hayden Kho’s license was revoked by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), the guilty doctor is reported dead by suicide.   His license was revoked around six months after his sex video scandal with Katrina Halili went public.  

The cause was said to be the ecstacy pills that was under Hayden Kho’s possession, reportedly bought for the party that he was to throw.  This is not the first time he attempted to suicide.  He also tried to kill himself some months ago in his effort of trying to win Dra. Vicki Belo back after the leak of several of his sex videos with different women. 

An earlier report by ABS-CBN said that he was hospitalized because of flu-like symptoms. But there are are reports as well that Hayden Kho is dead.
