American Idol 2010 Reveals Top 24 Semi-Finalists

American Idol finally reveals the top 24 semi finalists. One of the 17 semifinalists that are remaining is the 20 year old college student from Texas. Here are the rest of the other finalists:

Janell Wheeler from Tampa, Fla. – 24 year old sales representative
Crystal Bowersox from Elliston, Ohio. – 24 year old tattooed mother

Other male semi finalists are as follows:

Andrew Garcia, Tyler Grady, Alex Lambert, Joe Munoz, John Park and Jermaine Sellers. The other female semifinalists were Lacey Brown, Michelle Delamor, Siobhan Magnus, Paige Miles, Ashley Rodriguez, Lilly Scott, Katie Stevens and Haeley Vaughn.

Angela Martin, who made it twice to the Hollywood Week in the previous seasons, was cut. She was the one who had to drop out when her father was murdered and the second time she didn’t make it was when she had to answer a traffic court summon for a traffic issue. It was Judge Kara DioGuardi who told her abou the bad news, saying, “You know what, there are other ways to do it.”

The previously announced semifinalists were Didi Benami, 23, Los Angeles; Lee Dewyze, 23, Mount Prospect, Ill.; Katelyn Epperly, 19, West Des Moines, Iowa; Aaron Kelly, 16, Sonestown, Pa.; Casey James, 27, Fort Worth, Texas; Todrick Hall, 24, Arlington, Texas and Michael “Big Mike” Lynche, 26, Astoria, N.Y.

Watch out next Tuesday as the top 12 women will perform live and followed after by the top 12 men on Wednesday on Fox Channel. Elimination will be determined by the votes that will be casted by the viewers.

Tonight, the American Idol Season 9 Top 24 semi finalists will be unveiled. Make sure to watch this on the Fox Channel. Fans have their respective bets, but a whole lot are rooting for the few good ones. Let us see if any of them comes up in tonight’s special two hour event.

American Idol Welcomes Ellen DeGeneres

Ellen DeGeneres joins American Idol as the Hollywood round unfolds today, February 9, as this season’s new celebrity judge. DeGeneres is straightforward all right but not annoying. She joins Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi in the panel of judges. Her presence is actually a refreshing one.

DeGeneres easily slid to replace Paula Abdul without scratch. It is fun to see her spice up the panel of judge. She definitely fits in to the mix. She might not be in the music industry all right, but she does know her way to please people – which she happens to be very good at. We all wait how she will further fare towards the next episodes. One thing for sure, people love Elle DeGeneres’ presence in American Idol already.

American Idol Season 9 is up and coming and auditions will start on January 12, 2010. With Paula Abdul out of the judges seat, we will see how Randy Jackson, Simon Cowell and Kara DioGuardi will be able to rock this coming season 9 of AI. There is a line up of celebrity guest and some of them are Victoria Beckham, Shania Twain, Joe Jonas, Neil Patrick Harris, Avril Levine, et al. The most awaited replacement of Paula Abdul, Ellen DeGeneres will have her pilot appearance during the Hollywood week.
