The much awaited appearance of Ellen DeGeneres will be on Hollywood week. Expect a host of other stars to join the judges seat, like: Shania Twain, Avril Levin and Katy Perry.

After the surprise announcement from American Idol that Ellen DeGeneres will be joining the team of judges come Season 9 of the celebrated show this January, people came up with different reactions, most of them are positive. True, Ellen DeGeneres’ presence in the Idol is going to be a refreshing change.

Ellen DeGeneres will be sitting with Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi in American Idol’s Season 9. We can only anticipate how it’s going to be like with Ellen in the team. One thing for sure is that a unique perspective is a welcome one.

Some say it’s going to be a hilarious show with the celebrated beloved comic presence of Ellen. American Idol creator and executive producer Simon Fuller confessed of being really excited to have Ellen DeGeneres join the American Idol family.

So Kara DioGuardi confesses that the deal really is that she will only seat on one of American Idol’s judges throne for this season. Is it only that or is there more to it? I’m sure a lot have seen how the even numbered judges do not seem to work out as it should. It leaves so short a time for everyone of them to say out their piece after every performance, don’t you think?

Kara DioGuardi’s judging stint in American Idol should really be but experimental. So we wouldn’t really know for sure. She said she hopes to be asked to stay but if not, she’s fine by it. She’s grateful enough that she was given the opportunity. With more than a hundred hit singles with her name on it, it is no doubt that she is one gifted artist. But then again, the show has got to decide if the new format did American Idol better.
